Engage your team with dialogue. Your employees have the most customer contact and are a wealth of knowledge about what’s going on in your market.

During these challenging times you don’t want any opportunities missed because of one-way communication. Consult with your employees as teammates, not subordinates.

Give them a chance to contribute to the goals of the organization. Make it okay for employees to share their thoughts without reprimand. 

As a manager, I learned that my best work was the result of dialogue with my team. Sometimes they would totally redo my plans but the end result was a masterpiece. Ask your team what opportunities are being missed by not dialoging more frequently.
